Verena Klameth has been involved with Yoga and Indian Dance, having felt attracted to dance and other therapeutic bodywork ever since she was a child. In the late seventies, she completed her training as a Dance & Gymnastics teacher in Zürich, her hometown.
Next, she spent several years in various Asian cultures and began to study classical yoga with renowned masters.
Through the study of Bharata-Natyam, one of the original dance styles of India, Verena returned to her dancing roots. Since 1981, she has spent a few months in Southern India every year, first in Mysore, then in Madras, where she broadens her dance repertoire particularly in the Kuchipudi-dance-stile, always inspired by the healing powers of yoga.
Since 1986, Verena has been living in Tuscany, where she runs her own yoga and dance studio.
She teaches her classes in various countries and appears on many different stages as a Bharata-Natyam and Kuchipudi dancer.
